Ritual Journeys with Great British Goddesses

Little Doward, Symonds Yat

Picture
Little Doward means, "Two little riverbanks," and is found near Symonds Yat, Herefordshire, near Monmouth.  King Arthur’s Cave is said to have been occupied by man during the Upper Palaeolithic era (Late Stone Age, 50,000 to 10,000 years ago.) The caves were excavated by Reverend WS Symond. It is said to have had a part in the early legend of King Vortigern, the native British King who fought the invading Anglo Saxons.
